Holdings company (the Blackburn Group) responsible for the design and computer programming for the Accounting, Circulation and Advertising systems, later becoming Assistant to the Comptroller for Blackburn charged with the job of setting up Pennysaver Publications in Canada – which included the cities Victoria, Edmonton and Ottawa.
My last job at The Blackburn Group was as Special Projects Co-Coordinator responsible for designing and programming 500 monthly financial reports for six companies.
I left the Blackburn Group in 1986 to start my own company. My first project was to setup Accpac Plus training programs at Fanshawe College. I not only taught the courses I wrote the training manuals for the students.
After graduating with an Honours B. Comm. from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor my son joined the firm in 1995.
